How We Make Money

Short version: this site is free to use, and we are paid a referral fee if you apply for financing through one of our links. That fee comes from the lender, never from you.

What we are

Equipment Financing Calculators is an independent calculator site. We are not a lender. We are not a broker. We do not arrange credit, we do not see your application, and we have no say in whether you are approved or what rate you are offered. All we do is publish free estimating tools and explain how equipment finance works.

The commercial relationship

We have a referral partnership with ROK Financial, a US equipment-financing marketplace. Links on this site marked "Check Your Options", "Check Your Rate" or similar go to ROK Financial and carry a tracking code that identifies us as the referrer.

If you apply and your deal funds, ROK Financial may pay us a referral fee. Three things follow from that, and we want them stated plainly:

• It costs you nothing. Your rate, terms and approval odds are identical whether you arrive through our link or go to ROK Financial directly.
• It does not change the calculators. The maths is the same regardless of who funds you, and we do not tune the defaults to make financing look better than it is.
• It is a conflict of interest, and you should read the site knowing that. We benefit when you apply. Weigh our content accordingly, and compare offers.

All outbound partner links carry rel="sponsored", which is how we declare paid links to search engines.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your data. The calculators run entirely in your browser, nothing you type is transmitted to us or to anyone else.
• We do not gate the tools behind an email address.
• We do not accept payment for placement or for a better review. There is currently one partner, and this page names them.
• We do not guarantee approval, rates, or turnaround. Those are the lender's decisions, not ours.

If that bothers you

Use the calculators and go to ROK Financial, or any other lender, directly. The tools are free either way and there is nothing to sign up for. We would rather you got a good deal than a fast one.
